Looking Ahead

May 2025

We are midway through our stay in College Station. We have moved Marlene’s Dad into Assisted Living and her Brother and Sister-in-law are getting some much-deserved rest as the do some traveling. Meanwhile, we are continuing to prepare for our move into the Apartment next month. But, the old wanderlust is kicking in and I have started making reservations for the rest of the year. We will be traveling my planes, auto, and motor home. Check out this space as our plans develop.

 

April 2025

We are leaving the road Full-time at the end of June. But for April we will be in Galveston and enjoying the Spring weather. May will be spent in College Station with Marlene’s Dad. In June we will move Koko to Stafford while we arrange of move to an Apartment.

 

March 2025

We will continue our stay in Galveston but will make a one-week trip to Rockport to do some birding in the middle of March. We are also hoping to make a trip to Central Texas to see the Bluebonnets. All indications point to a significant bloom this year. The best part is that winter is behind us and we are looking ahead.

January 2025

Bufflehead

Now that we have completed our medical appointments, we will begin exploring Galveston Island, Bolivar, Surfside, and Brazoria.  We may head up to Brazos Bend SP and some of our old stomping grounds in Fort Bend County.   EBird is recording quite a few rare and unique species in the area so I hope to do some chasing on our own.

January 2025

We will be in Galveston during the next few months. We still have a few medical items to check off, but we will spend time with our daughter and grandchildren. We will also visit old friends in the area and do some birding in places we have been visiting for nearly 30 years.
